Our volunteers take a hands on approach to make sure our programs are as fun and educational as possible for participants. Doodlebug is full of hands on, fun volunteers opportunities! Volunteers help us operate in a variety of ways. Whether it's making prototypes, teaching participants or building a website, Doodlebug would not be possible without volunteer efforts. Our goal is to make volunteering for Doodlebug, so enjoyable you won't want to go home.

It has been a truly rewarding experience volunteering at Doodle Bug Workshop. I very much enjoy sharing my lifetime hobby and love for woodworking by teaching these amazing students that want to learn and demonstrate what they can do. I try to help them understand the function and proper use of tools and help develop their thought process in the proper tool selection to perform the task at hand. The students respond very well to the attention and take great pride in their completed projects. I look forward to helping each of them achieve their maximum potential.

Playing a part in helping Doodlebug Workshop thrive is a truly fulfilling experience. Doodlebug's mission addresses the needs of a very underserved portion of our community, disabled adults. By volunteering for Doodlebug you not only have the opportunity teach and help others learn new skills, but you also strengthen your own skills to communicate, teach and understand others at the same time. Witnessing the joy that Doodlebug brings into students lives, it's hard not to enjoy yourself while volunteering - especially if you like arts and crafts.
